1. Owner, purpose and acceptance

In short: Planeet belongs to Maximiliano Langer Barrios, an individual. To use it, you must accept these Terms.

1.1 Owner. Planeet is owned by Maximiliano Langer Barrios, an individual (‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in these Terms). Contact: support@planeet.app.

1.2 Purpose. These Terms govern your access to and use of Planeet: your account, what you can post, your content, moderation and what happens if something changes. How we handle your data is explained separately in the Privacy Policy.

1.3 Acceptance. You accept these Terms expressly in the app, with a tap, when you sign in. Without accepting them, you cannot use Planeet.

1.4 Languages. These Terms are in Spanish and in English, and both versions are equally valid.

2. What Planeet is

In short: Planeet is a free app for organising plans with other people. It is in private testing, so it may fail or change.

Planeet is an app for organising plans with other people: the chat, the expenses, the photos and everything else for each plan, in one place. You can also post your plans for your followers.

Planeet is in private testing: only people on the access list can get in. It is free. Because it is in testing, it may have bugs and its features may change. If we remove a feature you use, or a change works against you, we will tell you in the app beforehand; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.

3. Your account

In short: You must be at least 14 years old. Each person has a single account, and it is yours: look after your access.

  • To have a Planeet account you must be at least 14 years old. When you create it we ask for your date of birth, and it must be your real one. If you are under 14, the account is deleted there and then.
  • One person, one account. The account is yours alone: do not share it or use it on behalf of someone else.
  • Look after your access. You sign in with a code we email you, with Apple or with Google, so protect your email and those accounts. If you think someone has got into yours, write to us at support@planeet.app.

4. Rules of use

In short: Zero tolerance for objectionable content and for anyone who abuses other people. If you break a rule, we remove the content and may suspend your account.

Planeet has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for anyone who abuses other people. These rules apply to everything you do in Planeet: your profile, your plans, chats, photos and videos, posts and comments.

  1. No spam or unsolicited advertising.
  2. Don’t harass, bully or humiliate anyone.
  3. Don’t attack anyone for their origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or any personal trait.
  4. No nudity or sexual content. We report sexual content involving minors to the police.
  5. Don’t threaten anyone or encourage violence.
  6. Don’t pretend to be someone else.
  7. No illegal content.
  8. Don’t share other people’s private details (their address, phone number, documents…) without their permission, photos or videos of someone who has asked you not to post them, or other people’s content (photos, text, music…) that you do not have the right to use.
  9. Don’t attack or abuse the service: trying to access what you are not allowed to, using bots or scripts to use Planeet or pull data from it automatically, or getting around limits or blocks.

If you break a rule, we remove the content and, depending on how serious it is and whether it happens again, we may suspend your account. How we do it is explained in ‘6. Moderation’. If you see something that breaks these rules, report it.

5. Your content

In short: What you upload is still yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the right people, and that permission ends when you delete it, except for what other people have already posted or copied.

What you upload or write in Planeet (photos, videos, messages, plans, posts, comments…) is still yours.

For Planeet to work, you give us permission (a licence that is free and non-exclusive): you can do whatever you like with your content, including outside Planeet.

With that licence we store your content on our servers and on those of our providers, adapt it for the app (for example, we convert photos to another format and size) and show it to the right people: your profile, to anyone with an account; the card for your profile and for the invitations to the plans you organise or co-organise, to anyone who has its link, even without an account; what is inside a plan, a group or a chat, to the people in it; the details of a plan for your followers, to them too; and what you post, to the audience you choose. We also review it if someone reports it. The licence is only for that: providing the service and moderating it.

5.1 What you add to a plan

Anyone in the plan can post it: choose your photos and videos for their post, and your tasks, your links and the description and amount of your expenses for their guide. For this, you give the people in the plan a licence, free and non-exclusive, to use it in their posts and, if they allow copying, for the people who see those posts to take the guide into a plan of their own. A separate copy is kept when they post: if you later delete your moment or your account, that post stays as it is until its author deletes it or we remove it. If you do not agree with someone else posting a photo of yours, ask them to remove it or report it.

5.2 Copying a guide

If you post a plan with ‘Allow copying this plan’, you also give the people who see your post a licence, free and non-exclusive, to turn your guide into a plan of their own. They take what you put in the guide (title, category, tips, tasks, links, the estimated budget and, if you showed it, the place), never the photos, who went, who paid, the exact date or the chats. That copy is theirs and they can change it as they like. If you turn off ‘Allow copying this plan’, nobody else can copy it; copies already made stay.

5.3 When these licences end

They end when you delete that content or your account, except for: what stays in Planeet when you delete your account (see ‘Deleting your account’ in the Privacy Policy); posts by other people in the plan that already use it; and plans that other people have already copied from a guide.

5.4 What you are responsible for

You are responsible for what you upload: you must have the right to upload it, and it must not break the rules of use.

6. Moderation

In short: You can report anything that breaks these rules, in the app, with the website form or by email. Each report is reviewed by a person. If we remove something of yours or suspend your account, we tell you why and you can ask us to review it.

6.1 How to report

In the app, with ‘Report’, in the ⋯ menu of a profile, a post, a moment or a comment, or by pressing and holding a message. You choose the reason and, if you like, tell us more. If you think it is illegal, we ask you to explain why.

Without the app, whether or not you have an account, with the report form or by writing to report@planeet.app. Tell us what it is, where it is (for example, the person’s @username) and why you think it breaks these rules or the law.

We do not tell anyone who made a report unless a court or the law requires us to.

6.2 The word filter

What your followers see outside plans and groups goes through an automatic filter: the text of posts and of their guides, comments on posts, your name, your @username, your bio and the message of an open plan. If the text contains a word from a short list of hate speech and strong insults, in Spanish and in English, it is not saved and the app asks you to change it, without saying which word. The filter does not look at chats, at moments (the photos and videos of a plan) or their comments, or at anything inside a plan or a group. It is automatic: no person checks each rejection, but our team looks at which words on the list have rejected texts and removes those that block text for no good reason. If you think it has made a mistake, write to support@planeet.app.

6.3 Who decides

Apart from that filter, each report is reviewed and decided by a person on our team, not by an automated system. They look at the content and decide whether it breaks these rules or the law.

6.4 What we can do

  • Remove the content: a message, a post, a comment, or a photo or a video. It is removed for everyone and cannot be restored. If it is a photo or a video from a plan, the posts that use it are removed too, in full.
  • Remove something from a profile: the photo, the cover, the name, the bio or the @username.
  • Stop announcing an open plan or change its name. The plan carries on for the people in it.
  • Suspend the account (see ‘9. Leaving and suspension’).

6.5 How we tell you

If we remove something of yours or suspend your account, we email you at your account’s address: what we have done, why, which rule it breaks, whether it came from a report (without saying whose) and how to ask us to review it. If you tell us about something illegal, we also write to you with what we have decided. If you report something for another reason, the app confirms that we have received it.

6.6 If there is danger

If a report makes us suspect a crime that puts someone’s life or safety at risk, we tell the police.

6.7 Blocking

As well as reporting, you can block anyone: in the app they can no longer write to you, invite you or see your profile and what you post, although in the plans and groups you share you still see each other. The cards for your profile and for the invitations to your plans on the planeet.app website can still be seen by anyone who has their link, that person included. The blocked person gets no notification; our team does find out, and reviews people who are blocked often.

6.8 If you disagree

If you disagree with a decision, reply to the email in which we explained it and we will review it again. We do this voluntarily: the law does not require a service as small as Planeet to have an internal complaint-handling system (articles 19 and 20 of the EU Digital Services Act).

You can also go to the courts at any time.

7. Expenses

In short: Planeet helps you note down expenses and works out who owes whom. It is not a party to whatever you may owe each other, it does not check the amounts and it is not a means of payment.

In Planeet you can note down the expenses of a plan, a group or a chat, and the app works out, from what you note down, who owes whom.

  • Planeet is not a party to whatever you may owe each other: that is between you.
  • We do not check that the amounts are correct.
  • Planeet is not a means of payment: it does not hold or move money. When you record a payment, Planeet only notes it down.

8. Places and maps

In short: The place search and the map use Google Maps, which has its own terms.

Planeet uses Google Maps features and content: the place search and, on Android, the map. Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy, in the version in force at the time.

9. Leaving and suspension

In short: You can delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend it if you break the rules, and we tell you why.

9.1 Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the app whenever you like, and it is deleted straight away. What is deleted and what stays under ‘Deleted user’ is explained in the Privacy Policy, in ‘Deleting your account’.

9.2 Suspending an account

We can suspend your account if you break the rules of use. A person on our team decides, depending on how serious it is and whether it happens again.

With a suspended account you cannot sign in to the app. Your plans and what you have posted stay as they were, except anything we have removed. The suspension has no end date: it lasts until our team lifts it. Even while it is suspended, you can ask us to delete it (support@planeet.app) or for a copy of your data (privacy@planeet.app).

We email you at your account’s address with the reason, the rule you have broken and how to ask us to review it (see ‘6. Moderation’). If you try to sign in, the app tells you the account is suspended and how to write to us.

9.3 If we close Planeet

If we decide to close Planeet, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, in the app and by email, so that you have time to ask us for a copy of your data (see ‘Your rights’ in the Privacy Policy). If a serious reason forces us to close it sooner, such as a security problem or an order from an authority, we will let you know as soon as we can.

10. Liability

In short: Planeet is a tool: it does not organise plans or go to them. We are not responsible for what happens on a plan or between you, unless the harm comes from something we did wrong.

Planeet is a tool for organising plans: it does not organise them or go to them. We are not responsible for what people do on a plan or for what happens between you, unless the harm comes from something we did wrong.

You are responsible for what you post and for how you use Planeet.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability when we cause harm on purpose (wilful misconduct) or through gross negligence, or for harm to people’s life, health or physical integrity, or anything else that consumer protection law does not allow to be limited.

11. Changes to these Terms

In short: We only change them for specific reasons, we give you 30 days’ notice and, if you do not agree, you can delete your account.

We will only change these Terms for one of these reasons:

  • a change in the law;
  • new Planeet features, or features we withdraw;
  • the security of Planeet or of the people who use it;
  • stopping abuse.

We will give you 30 days’ notice, in the app and by email, and tell you what is changing. If a law or an authority forces us to change them sooner, we will let you know as soon as we find out. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before they take effect.

You accept the new Terms in the app, with a tap: simply carrying on using the app does not count. If you do not accept them, you will no longer be able to use Planeet, but you can delete your account and ask us for a copy of your data. The ‘Last updated’ date, at the top, says when they last changed.

To correct a typo or clarify a sentence without changing your rights or your obligations, none of this is needed: we correct it without changing the date and you do not have to accept them again.

12. Applicable law

In short: Spanish law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of its law, and you can make a claim in the courts where you live.

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the rules of that country that cannot be set aside by contract.

If you have a dispute with Planeet, you can take it to the courts of the place where you live.

13. Contact

In short: For any enquiry, support@planeet.app. To report content, the report form or report@planeet.app.
